Since 2016, Datel has expanded into space-related technologies, developing Earth observation and geospatial information systems based on satellite data. Its expertise covers radar and optical satellite data processing, artificial intelligence, multi-source data integration, change and activity detection, and the development of map-based applications.

In 2026, Datel launched MyDroneApp.com, a web-based drone flight awareness and planning platform designed to make drone operations safer, simpler, and more informed. MyDroneApp brings together key aviation and geospatial information to help drone pilots quickly understand whether a flight is allowed at a specific location and time, and under what conditions, supporting informed decision-making and regulatory compliance. The platform is designed for drone pilots, professional operators, businesses, and public-sector organizations, with the broader vision of enabling more efficient and data-driven drone operations.
